Cold Wars® Volunteer Information

 


HMGS is always looking for volunteers to help at our shows. Please consider helping at one of the volunteer levels available.The following levels are available for volunteer participation.
 
 15 Hours
• A badge to the show.
• Volunteer T-shirt
• Show vouchers for each day worked.
• ½ of a room (you will be sharing a room with another person so bring a friend or family member to volunteer with you).
 10 Hours
• A badge to the show.
• Volunteer T-shirt
• Show vouchers for each day worked.

5 Hours
• A badge to the show.
• Volunteer T-shirt


Volunteer manpower is the back bone of any HMGS® show. Fall In!® needs volunteers to help our attendees with the new location. It's a great way to give back to the organization and help offset your convention costs.

We need folks to staff the following areas:

Wally's Basement – Duties include:

  • Assisting attendees
  • Crowd control
  • Helping Wally’s participants with setup
Events Desk  – Duties include:
  • Answering general attendee questions - e.g. Helping them find events
  • Managing the event board and assisting attendees with choosing events

GM Help Desk– Duties include:

  • Assisting GMs with issues
  • Checking room table layouts through out the day
  • Collecting fill rate data
Registration – Duties include:
  • Assisting advance registered attendees with the print-on-demand system
  • Handing out convention bags
  • Computer Skills for onsite registration volunteers

HMGS Show Store  – Duties include:

  • Handing out advanced purchased souvenir convention t-shirts
  • Selling HMGS Logo store items
  • Keeping track of store inventory
Exhibit Hall – Duties include:
  • Helping exhibitors at check-in by providing badges, resolving issues, etc. (Thursday/Friday AM)
  • Checking attendee badges during exhibit hall hours
Information Booth – Duties include:
  • Providing directions
  • Answering attendee questions. Familiarity with the convention and convention facilities required

Runners/Set up-Tear Down  – Duties include:

  • Must be available Wednesday and/or Sunday
  • Unloading the storage pod, setup and tear down of pipe and drape, stanchions, etc. and packing up and reloading the storage pod
